WOODVILLE RACES. SECOND DAY. By Telegraph—Press Association. The 'second day's racing in connection with the Woodville Racing Club's autumn meeting was held in delightful weather. The attendance •was not as large as on the-torst'day, but was satisfactory. The sum of £7624 passed through the- totalisator, making £18,228 for the meeting, which is £3428 more than -the figures for ithe corresponding meeting last year. The racing was very exciting, and there' were many close finishes. Rsults:— Settlers' Hack.— Sfu'rik 1, Allurement 2, Makara 3. Scratched— Leahora, Jargon. Won by a good length, a lengtlv dividing second and third. Time, Imin. 15 4-ssec. .'. Second Hurdles.— Te Whetu 1, Sunray 2, Millenial 3. All started. Rapu lost his rider at the first fence. Ballance Hack Welter.— San Lass 1, Appin 2, Brown Trout 3. All started. 1 A splendid, race; won by a neck, a' head separating second and 'third horses.
