AUSTRALIAN HOPELESSLY OUTCLASSED.

Bill Lang ; •;!:-.• ,-u. :: % :\hi.::i) and Sam Langford {:lw .xu.v.. - :c;ni negro) fought here last night.
Lang was disqualified in the sixth round for hitting Langford while the latter was on his knees.
Lang was hopelessly outclassed. The Star says:— '"Langford repeatedly forced Lang io ins corner, administering Heavy rights and. lefts. Lang was down for nine seconds in the second 'round and eight seconds in the third. He improved a bit in the fourth, and hit Langford lightly several times. . In the fifth round Lang took heavy punishment, and in itihe sixth was very weak, Langford repeatedly hitting him. , Langford slipped, and Lang hit him, „' being instantly disqualified." '■■ v
A WALK-OVER.
(Received Last Night, 11.20 o'clock.) LONDON, February 22. The "Sportsman" says that the contest between- Lang and Langford was no sort of a fight ait any time. It was- merely a wal'k-over.
