In connection with tho land at Waihao Downs '-purchased for close settlement; an interesting practical suggestion is made locally that tlio fine large station 'building- existing on the central part of the estate should be set aside with 100' acres or more, as.an agricultural' college, for .South Canterbury, TJie building otherwise is- .too large for ordinary ' purposes. > A farm' college at Waihao Downs would serve -North Otago as well and the boys could spend'.the week-ends at their homes.
