PAHIATUA STOCK SALE. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report as follows: This sale was held on 14th instant, when we yarded a moderate entry of sheep and cattle. The enquiry was again very limited, not a great amount of stock changing hands. Quotations —2,- 4 and 6-tooth*ewes, 12s lid to 13s 3d; fat ewes, 12s 2d; full-mouth ewes, 6s to. 7s 3d; small lambs, 3s 2d; 4-tooth Lincoln rams, £3 3s; 4-year Romney rams, 25s 'to ljj guineas; 2|-year steers, £4 ss; 15month steers, £2 3s 6d. to £3; empty cows, £2 5s to £3 2s 6d; springing heifers, £5.
Messrs Dalgety and C 0.,. Ltd., [ ieport .having held their weekly stock sale in their Mangahao yards,' when they offered a heavy yarding of sheep 'tlie entry .of cattle being .very .small. The bidding'for sheep was not brisk, in consequence of which a number of two-tooth wethers were passed in at lis 9d. We quote:—2, 4 and 6tooth wethers, 12s to 12s 3d; cull ewes, 4s, 4s 4d, 4s 9d, 5s .3d to 5s 6d; 2-tooth cull lambs, Is 9d, 2s 6d to 3s 6d; woolly/lambs, poor sorts, 5s Bd, 6s 4d, to 7s; fat ewes, to lis; weaners, mixed, 20s 6d- ,225, 235, 25s 6d, 27s 6cUo29s 6d.
