NEW ZEALAND FORECAST. > ( By Telegraph — P'iess Association. WELLINGTON, Last Night. The Rev. D. 0. Bates' summary and weather forecast are as follows: *- sA cyclone, centered off the East G'ape, caused a south-easterly gale and heavy rain on the East Coast of the North Island on Saturday and Sunday. Gales were also experienced, on Sunday about Cook Strait. The weather has been unsettled in most parts or the country. Much smoke haze from bash-fires has been reported lately. Present indications are for mild, hazy and changeable weather generally. Moderate to strong easterly winds in the North Island* and northerly and westerly in the South.
