FORTY MILE BUSH AMATEUR ATHLETIC SOCIETY.
ANNUAL SPORTS. The programme of the annual sports of the Forty-Mile Bush Athletic Society is published elsewhere in this morning's issue. t This popular fixture is to take place on Wednesday, March 15th, at Hamua, on the football ground, kindly lent by Mr M. Galvin for the purpose. The programme is most attractive and the stakes' very liberal, ho less than £6O being allotted in pi'ize money. The events total 25, and in addition there will be boys and girls races during the day. The Forty-Mile Bush Handicap, of . 300 yards, for which the total prize money is ;fill, should result in record entries as well as the other events. Ful! particulars as to the closing date of nominations for the different events are advertised. A grand ball will be i held in the evening. Mr D. L. Bourkc, the hon. secretary, will be pleased to supply further particulars to anyone on application.
