EKETAHUNA S-.LE. ' -Messrs 1 Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report liaving held their usual weekly sale at Eketahuna on Friday, 11th inst. We had a good yarding of both sheep and cattle. v Sheep sold at late values, and we made a clearance before the day closed. We quote:—Sheep: Two-tooth wethers, lis 9d, 12s to 12s Id; best shorn rape lambs, 7s 3d, 7s sd, 7s 9d to 8s Id; small lambs, «s 6d, 4s 9d, 4s lOd to-'SS; fair shorn lambs, 5s 3d, 5s 9d to 6s lOd; eives, 7s Bd, 8s to 9s 6d; culls, 3s 9d, 4s 2d to 4s 6d; fat and forward ewes, lis 6d.' Cattle: 18-months steers, £3 to £3 4s; forward cows, £3 10s to £3 ri's 6d; 18-months heifers, £2 10s, £2 16s to £3. . " .■/ The N.Z. Loan and MercantileAgency Company, Ltd., report 'on their weakly sale held :.t Eketahuna on Friday, when they submitted a fair yarding of both sheep and cattle. Aged ewes were slow of sale, but good rape lambs were keenly competed for. Cattle sold at lower rate's. We quote:—Store ewes, ,ss, 6s 6d/'7s 6d to 8s 6d; woolly lambs, 7s 6dy-9s-to 10s 3d;.shorn lambs, to 7s; store cows, £3 ss; weauer calves, 30s to 355; bulls, £3 5s to £4. "
LONDON MARKETS. '■Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., have received the following cable from their London house, dated 9th. February :— Frozen Meat.—Market quiet. There are considerable stocks of mutton and lamb on hand, and if any, change takes place it is. expected to be in favour of buyers. Tallow.— Since our last .cable, prices in general are unchanged. Mutton is a shade firmer, but .low. and inferior descriptions are a shade easier.
