Bates' summary and weather forecast are as follows: ,South-easterly winds, veering to the northward, now prevail, with increasing cloudiness generally. Present indications are for d falling barometer everywhere, with easterly arid northerly winds, increasing strong to gale, especially in the northern and southernmost districts. Cloudy and unsettled weather, and rain probably following in most parts of the country.
