THE SHOW WEEK ATTRACTION. Masterton residents and their country friends invariably look for something extra special at the Town Hall during Show Week. This year the Hall has been secured iby the popular Taylor-Carrington management, and from Monday onwards will be presented a series of picture.dramas, a form of entertainment introduced by these well-known entertainers. The opening picture drama will depict with startling accuracy and vivid realism the exploits of those notorious outlaws, the Kelly Gang. This version is entirely new, and is double the length of any former picture on the same subject. The whole of the more notable doings of the gang will be shown in a manner worthy of the' high reputation earned by .the Tay-lor-Carrington management. The shooting of Fitzpatrick, the forming of the gang, attack on the police camp in the Wombat Ranges, sticking up the IJanks at Euroa and Jerilderil, locking up the police in their own cells, shooting of Sherritt the spy, the Glenrowan battle, last stand of Ned Kelly, and his capture —these and a hundred other details' will be shown. Popular prices, with ladies' and children's concessions, will prevail. No extra fee is charged for booking seats at Miss Rive's.

The announcement thai the new programme of pictures at the For- •' esters' Hall was to be an excellent one in every way attracted a large aiWience to the popular picture j house last evening. The dramas screened were a diversified lot, and j each had its own particular features of interest. "Big Elk's Turn-down" was a really fine Indian drama, while "Women of the West" was another Indian subject showing how women settlers in the early days had to defend themselves against marauding Indians. "The Pony Express Riders" is a charm-iig story of Western life. A picture of interest to sporting patrons was that showing Carbine ("Old Jack") the famous New Zealand racehorse who in the later 80's stood without a rival in vlie racing world. "Among tho Roses" was a very pretty coloured film, and appealed to lovers of horticulture. "The Cogwheel Railway of Montreux" was a revelation of beauteous scenery, moimta-ii grandeur, and engineering feats. The comics were a particularly good lot. The programme will be repeated this evening.
