THOttPSON-PAYKE PICTURES., The Foresters' Hall was crowded last evening, when 'the current, programme was shown for the. last time to an appreciative audience. Toright the management announce a ■change of programme which will equal, ■if not exceed, in point of merit any previous series.-. shown by them in Masterton. There will be some very exciting dramas screened, the "star" pictures being "BigElk's Turn-down" (a gre'at Kalem Indian drama), "The Pony Express Eiders" (a story dealing:with -the days when the white man/and American Indian were" at war with each other), "Waiter No. 5" |a tale . or persecution in Russia),. and' "Women of the West." The other pictures' will include "Woman's Vanity," ..' 'The Man Who . Died," ' 'Bull Fight in Chili," "Among,the Roses," "A. Costly Gift," "Fni'scot Finds Employment," "Who's Who," and a splendid cinematograph film of Carbine, the famous New Zealand racehorse, and the greatest" racer of his day. Carbine is 26 years old, and now belongs to the Duke of Portland, at whose farm the photograph was taken. The' firm,intend providing special attractions for show week.
