THE MASTERTON CLUB

Mr S. liider has generously prdmised trophies to the winners of a rink competition between bowlers of the Masterton Club. No less than 44iiiembers entered, and the selection committee of the Masterton Club drew the teams on Monday evening, with the following results: —-Hughes, Georgeson, Guild, C. Perry (skip); Wingate, Howell, Rose, Scott (skip); Miitrie, W. H. Cole, Carpenter, Whittaker (skip); Feist, Cave, Wilkes, Blinkhorne (skip); Robieson, Hendry, W. M. Cole, W. Pragnell. (skip); Chapman, Hunter, Staples, Tdwnsend (skip); E. -Pragnell, Murray, son, 0. Pragnell (skip)/ißeynolds, A; Pragnell, Inder, i Cameron .(skip); Pearson, Arlidge, Prentice, EwirigtOn (skip); Beale, A. Hollings, Lawrence, Cresswell (skip); Boagey,:F. E. Lamb, McEwarf, P. L. Hollings (skip). In this competition sixteen heads only will be. played-in.each match, and skips are made responsible for getting their teams together and making appointments with opposing skips. Each team must play at least three matches before the 18th instant. Only one substitute will be allowed in each match, and such substitute shall not be appointed by the opposing skips, but by the Selection Committee. The matches to be played total one.hundred, and skips are urged to get their matches off as quickly as possible.
