MYSTERIOUS DROWNING.

CHRISTCHURCH, Last Night. At the inquest at Little River regarding the death of Tristam A. Haydon, a labourer, aged 43, a verdict was returned that death was due to drowning, but there, was no; evidence to show ho\y the body came into the water. Haydon was, a stranger in the district, being, on his way to a,situation at Holmes' Bay. He left the' Lake Forsyth Hotel sober, and was'seen lying on the edge of the river batik. His body was found in the'river adjacent to v'the- ..spot, *wlhere he was, seen ; lying down! '
