LAWN TENNIS.

CLUB FORMED AT TE WHARAU

A public meeting of those interested in the formation of a tennis club in Te Wharau was held in the schoolroom on Saturday evening. Mr W. B. Preshaw occupied the •chair, and after considerable interesting discussion and expert advice being read by the chairman, it was decided that a club be, formed. Office bearers were duly appointed, and a strong committee formed to carry out arrangements, so that by next season Te Wharau should have a highly prosperous Tennis Club.
