RIFLE SHOOTING.

MAURICEVILLE RIFLE CLUB

The third competition for trophies was fired on Saturday last, 4th February. The day was very fair for snooting, as tlio scores certainly indicate. The following are the results :

The first eight will probably represent the Club in the second Cup match of the season at Tararua on Saturday next. The team will, travel by the 8.30 a.m. train.

THE ALFREEKTQN CLUB.

' The Alfredton, Rifle Club on Saturday last held the fourth shoot for the Holmes Warren challenge and Kebbell handicap cups. It -was also counted as the second shoot for Rifleman Dagg's shield". The highest scorer for the day, Riiteman, P. Wilton, won Captain Benton's trophy. The finish of tlie Cup'shooting promises to be very exciting. Following are the scores:—
