LOWER TAUERU.
The Lower Taueru school picnic and sports -were lield on Friday, in Mr Loader's paddock, the weather' being all that could be desired. A good programme of sports was got off, the prizes for -which were distributed in the hall in the evening by Mr Buchanan, M.P. The medal for most points was won by Alasine Hill with 11 points, Margaret Scott c being a close second with 10 points.' ! Lunch and tea were provided on the ground by the School Cbnmuttee, assisted 'by .several , willing helpers among the ladies. In the evening Mr Buchanan distributed il-e prize? i won during the year as follows: Standard VII.— Neil Ingram. Standard Vl. Maggie Scott 1, Clarrie Hill 2, Lily Loader 3. • .
