(By Our Special Reporter.) The annual" meeting of the Whakataki Jockey Club l was held on Saturday. The weather was fine and there was a good attendance of the public. The'arrangements were very complete, and the secretaries (Messrs A. P. Potter and A. T. Hancock) carried out their duties efficiently. Following were the results:— Maiden.— Hinemarama 1, Pussy 2, The President 3. Two others ■started. Good race, won 'by a head.-' . Scurry.— The Light 1, Te Utuatu 2. Recruit 3. Also started—. Harata, St.'Bertha, Lancer, Wanderer, and Rune. Won easily. Cup.— Miss Vera I,'Kalypso 2, Prince nassau 3. Also started— Impossible.— Good race, won easily at the finish.
