The clay was an ideal one for the sale of work in connection with the Vicarage Fund yesterday; The spot chosen was in a bend of the Whareama River, among a clump of beautiful native trees, in a paddock kindly lent., for occasion "by, Mr D. H. Speedy. The traffic as it "entered the grounds was an interesting spectacle—-tip-drays, buggies, dog-carts, brakes, motor cars, bicycles, and horsemen all mingled together. The names of all those taking part are too numerous to mention, but everybody worked with . a will, and made the sale a huge success, as about £l6O was taken, and thei fund is now ample for the. vicariige.
