, EKETAHUNA STOCK SALE. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Com pany, Ltd., report holding their weekly sale •-, at Eketahuha yesterday,, when a small yarding of cattle were offeredy.. the ; sheep; consisting chiefly -of lambs, prices ruling being, a, little better than last week. All lines offered were quitted. Best woolly., lambs, 8s to 9s; medium, 7s 6d; shorn culls, 3s 9d, 4s 9d to 5s 9d. CattleStore cows, £2 17s: 18-month heifers, good, £3; small, £2,55; weaner steers, good line, 365; good mixed, 30s; others, 20s to 255..
Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having held their usual weekly sale at Eketahuna on Friday/. 23rd Feibruary:— We had a good 1 yarding of sheep, chiefly lambs', which met with a better sale than last week, prices being in favour of sellers. With the exception of two small pens, Ave made a clearance. We only had a medium yarding of cattle, which were not keenly competed for under the hammer. We, however, sold practically everything before the day ended. We quote:— Sheep.Cull shorn lambs, 4s, 4s 3d, 4s 6d to 5s 6d; better Sorts, 6s 2d to 7s, rape lambs, 7s 3d to 7s 6d; small 2-tooth ewes, lis Id to 12s 3d; cull ewes, 4s 6d, 5s to 6s 6d; . better sorts, 6s 9d, 7s to 7s 9d. Cattle.— 18-month steers/ £3 to £3 3s: 18month heifers, running with bull, £3; weaner steers, £2 to £2 4s; mixed weaners, 30s, 32s 6d to 345.
