BEAUTIFYING THE PARK.
The Mayor, the -Borough Council, %M' the Park Beautifying Committee : are,, to be congratulated upon the successful gathering which was held yesterday afternoon and evening.' At the time of writing it is impossible to state wliat the-financial-result, will' be;, but it is not unlikely that £IOO will ibe available for expenditure upon the Park. This may not be a very •large sum, but it will enable ;t!he * Borough Council to make some, substantial improvement to the reserve. It would be well if a permanent Beautifying Commii&ee-. were-■ apt, pointed, to join with''a Committee of the Council in expending the money and in laying out a scheme for future action. A. good work has been started, and there is a general public desire that this should be continued.
