NEW ZEALAND FORECAST. fey Telegraph—Pivss Association. WELLINGTON, Last Night.", The Uev. D.-C. Pates' summary and weather- forecast are as follows : Hazy and" cloudy skies have been reported in most parts, .. and showery and squally conditions in the southernmost districts. Westerly . gales have, been- experienced in Foveaux Strait. Moderate southeasterly winds have prevailed in,the ' northern- districts, and westerlies' backing' to northerlies in the south. The barometer has failed' everywhere since nine o'clock today. Present indications are for freshening easterly winds in the> northern districts, and high northerly winds elsewhere. Warm and hazy weather will probably prevail, but showery in most parts southward or New Plymouth and Napier. The barometer will probably fall slowly everywhere, and, a storm area appears to be developing away to the northwest of New Zealand.
