HEW ZEALAND FORECAST. By Telegraph—& ess Association. WELLINGTON, Last Night. " The Rev. D. C. Bates' summary and weather-forecast are 1 as follows: South-westerly winds have prevailed, with gales, in the southern districts. The barometer has risen over tile North Island and parts of the South, but remained unsteady in the Far South. Cloudy and changeable weather has been experienced. generally, but stormy conditions prevailed about Foveaux Strait. /Present indications are for moderatei6 strong westerly winds generally/and squally in the south. The barometer will probably rise l slowly in the North, and remain unsteady in the South, rising and falling again shortly. The weather will probably be cloudy and unsettled at times in most parts of the country, and showery in the South and on the West Coast.
