The Minister said he understood "that ifc was desired that the main trunk train should leave ' Auckland at '8 o'clock in the evening instead of at 9 o'clock, as at present. When this request came befoi*e. him, it would receive due consideration. Mr Buchanan remarked if this change were made it would do aAvay with one of the grievances of the Wairarapa. It would enable passengers by the Main Trunk line to connect with the Napier-Wellington train at Woodyille.
