Lighting the' Park is rather a large undertaking; but in the hands of Mr BUickniah, manager of the,Masterton Gasworks, it is sure to be a great success. A painful accident befell Miss Cora Hornby whilst cycling into Eketahuna on Saturday morning. While 1 proceeding down the hill at the Newman bridge the brakes failed to act. Blackmah, reported as follows :—Gas manufactured shows an increase at the rate of 8.68 per cent, and gas sold per* metre an increase of 8.24 per cent, as compared l with the corresponding month 'of last year.
