AN ACT OF COURTESY.
Ilie Prime Minister, with other Ministers of the Crown, has been in.vited to be present at the fortheom--ing show of the Masterton A. and. P. Association. It has, been" suggested that Sir Joseph Ward should be invited to give a public address in Masterton on the occasion. The idea is a good one. It would serve more than one purpose. In the first place it would ensure the presence of the Premier' at the show. ; In .the second it would' assist in drawing people to the town. the third it would give the public an opportunity of approaching Sir Joseph on matters concerning the district.-. 'And lastly, ■ibut bys no means the less important consideration, it would be extending a graceful courtesy to the chief citir. Zen of the land. Whatever opinions may be entertained concerning the Prime Minister and 1 his administration, it is only right that the residents of an important community should be given an opportunity of hearing him first hand. "The Mayor might be disposed.'to take the neces-: sary initiative.
