COMPETITIONS SOCIETY'S PROGRAMME.
The Programme Co in ir.it too of the Mastert-on Competition Society submitted the following list of proposed competitions to the General Committee last evening:— VOCAL.
Soprano solo, mezzo-soprano solo, contralto solo, tenor solo,' baritone solo, bass solo, humorous song, vocal solo, girls under 17 years of age (own selection), vocal solo, boys "under 15 years (own~selection), sacred solo (ladies), sacred solo (gentlemen), Scotch song (lady or- gentleman), Irish song . (lady or gentleman), duet (ladies' voices), duet (gentlemen's- voices), quartette (male), quai'tette (mixed), action song (squads of primary school children), test anthem (church choirs). Duet, mixed voices.
INSTRUMENTAL. Pianoforte solo (any age), pianoforte solo (pupils 16 years and under); pianoforte solo (pupils 13 years and under), pianoforte duet (pupils any -age), pianoforte solo (any age, reading at sight, pieces to be selected by the judge), violin solo (any age), violin solo (pupils 16 years and under), mandolin solo (any age, open), brass quarttette, B-fiat cornet solo, euphonium solo, 'baritone solo, B-fiat trombone, bugle calls.
