THOMPSON-PAYNE PICTURES. "Standing room only," was the announcement at the Forester's Hall last evening before the entertainment commenced. The excellence of the programme merited the large attendance for rarely has a better set of pictures been shown. A romance of the American Civil War was told in a picture entitled, "On the Road to Richmond." ' "First Love is Best," was another exciting military drama full of interest throughout. Aifilm of exceptional merit was "Unexpected Help," a production of the American Biograph Company. The scenics were a capital series. The pick of these pictures were "On Indalsalven," and
"Overland to Briez." The comics met with general approval. An in- . dustrial film, entitled "The Bee Hunter," was of an educational turn, and showed the audience the various places in which the bees swarm, from a hollow tree to the breast of a scarecrow. This first class programme will be repeated this evening.
