BLENHEIM RAILWAY FATALITY
BLENHEIM, Last Night. Further particulars of the fatality at Nydia Bay on Saturday show that five men, « ohu Corliss, William O'Brien, George Anderson, Climo and Berse (driver) were on board a locomotive drawing a" load of logs down a steep incline, when the engine got away, and leaving the rails crashed into a stump. Three of the unfortunate men, Anderson, Corliss and O'Brien, were pinned beneath the engine and scalded to death. Climo and Birse were thrown away from Ihe engine, and escaped with severe injuries. They were immediately taken to the Havelock Hospital, where the bodies of the deal were also conveyed. "
