ROMAN CATHOLIC SCHOOLS.
APPEAL BY ARCHBISHOP. In opening the new Marist School at Te Aro on Sunday afternoon, Archbishop Redwood made a strong plea for the recognition of the claims of Catholics for support in the education of their children. He said that until these just claims were acknowledged and granted Catholics were determined to maintain the struggle iri the cause of God and religion. Mr Martin Kennedy supplementing the Archbishop's remarks urged Catholics to become a political party so as to influence the legislature. in realisation of the claims of Catholics in this matter.
