Captain "Dick" Seddon is exceed* tngly fortunate in that he is the son of his father. He is an amiable young man who., since he rendered: such distinguished service- in .theSouth African campaign, has been slowly ascending tiie. ladder of military fame. So valuable has been his advice and assistance, in organising the forces of New Zealand, that he has been singled out for special treatment. And now report lias it that he is going Home to complete his military education. When he returns' (if the Military Council of the Empire should permit him to do so), there should be no necessity for a< Home officer to * control our defences. Captain "Dick," with the aid of Major McDonald, the head of the School Cadet force, should be able to manage the whple concern.
