AMUSEMENTS.
THOMPSON-PAYNE PICTURES. The final screening of the current programme ?it the Foresters' Hall on Saturday night last, drew a packed house, standing room only being available when the entertainment commenced. The programme was much appreciated by those present, who were most demonstrative in their applause. This .evening the biH-of-fare will be up to the usual high standard, the dramatic and scenic portions being of exceptional merit. The former studies consist of: "Unexpected Help," an American Biograph Company story of cowboy life in the Wild West; "On the Road to Richmond," a military drama of the days of the Civil War; "First Love is Best," an exceptionally interesting military iand love study. The scenics, which are beautifully coloured, are, "In Madras," "Overland to Briez," and "On Indalsalven." Scire clever comedies will be shown, oiie.i:: particular, "The Portrait," being an excellent picture. A splendid range cf comics will be shown.
