Another unsuccessful attempt has been made to refloat the steamer Eastern, which is ashore at Salamandar Bank. •
The vessel's position is now more serious.
The passengers have landed, and are proceeding on their journey tiy train.
Tons of rice have been jettisoned, j (Received Last Night, 5.5 o'clock.) ' LONDON, January 28. From 15 to 20 per cent, is quoted. for the> Eastern's re-insurances. !
