HARBOUR BOARD ELECTION.
Under the Act passed last session, the Wairarapa, which embraces the Forty-Mile Bush, will be entitled to two representatives on .the Wellington Harbour Board. The elections are to be held on "the same day as the municipal elections, every person over twenty-one years of age 'being entitled to vote. So far Mr C. lii. Daniell, who has represented the district for some years past, is the only known candidate. It is probable, however, that before the day of the election a number of aspirants for the honour will be in the field. The Harbour Board is an important institution, with immense rating andt spending powers, and the people of the Wairarapa should interest in securing active representatives from this side of the range.
