MEW ZEALAND FORECAST. By Tdegraph—pitoa Association. WELLINGTON, Last Night. TMe Rev. D. C. Bates' summary and weaiher forecast nro as follows: The barometer has -risen in the southern'districts, but fallen in 'the northern. The weather has been hazy, and humid conditions have prevailed everywhere. Rain set in 'over- the South Island during the night, with moderate to strong southerly winds. Present indications are for rain in most parts of the country, especially over, the North Island and East Coast of the South. South-easterly winds, strong to gale in parts, will probably prevail. The barometer will probably fall for several hours in the nbrth, but rise very high in the South..
