PALMERSTON N. STOCK SALE.
(By Telegraph"— Special to the Age.) PALMERSTON N., Last Night. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report:— At our Palmerston North sale on Thursday, 26th inst., we had an exceptionally heavy yarding of sheep and a medium . one of cattle. Owing no doubt to the dry spell we are experiencing, bidding for all classes of sheep was dull, especially lambs, but we managed to quit almost everything at prices slightly lower than-last week. Cattle sold 1 well at late rates. We'quote —Sheep 400 4 and 6-tooth ewes, on 1 account of Mr P. A. McHardy, 15s and 15s Id; aged cxill ewes, 4s 6d to 5s 6d; woolly lambs, 4s 7d, 6s sd, 7s 6d, Ss"4d, to 9s 2d; shorn lambs, small, 2s 2d, 3s to 3s sd; good 7s; 7d, 7s lOcl, to 8s Id; fat wethers, 14s Id; fat ewes, , 12s Id; 2-tooth wethers, 10s. Cattle:'4l forward bullocks, on account of Mr P. A. McHardy, £6 12s to £10; 18-month steers, £3 to £3 17s; fat cows, £4 10s to £5 16s; store cows, £2 to £3 ; bulls, £2 10s to £3; weaners, 20s to 31s; Jersey 20-month heifers, £5 16s.
