JOHNSON YILLE STOCK SALE. (By Telegraph—Special to the Age. JOHNSONVILLE, Last Night. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on their Jolmsonville sale as follows: We olFcretl a good yarding of prime bullocks and sheep, which sold readily at late rates. Best bullocks made £9 to £9 ss; lighter, £8 10s to £8 15s; light, £7 15s to £8 ss; vealors, 17s to 21s ; prime heavy wethers, 17s; medium wethers, 10s Id; plain, 14s 6d to 15s; medium ewes, 13s 6d to 14s; prime heavy lambs, 13s 6d to 14s; good, 12s 6d; plain, lis to lis 9d; shorn, 9s.

AUCKLAND SHARE MARKET. Mr J. T. Hendry, sliarebroker, of Auckland (in conjunction with Messrs C. C. Ross and Co., his local agents) reports the following quotations of business at the first call of the Auckland Stock Exchange yesterday 'morning:—

PAHIATUA STOCK SALE. • Messrs Abraham and Williams, | Ltd., report as follows: We held the above sale in the Farmers' Association's yards, when we submitted a heavy yarding of t/nu sheep and cattle. Our advertised' entry came forward with the exception of one line of bullocks, but we are sorry to report .that the enquiry for sheep was very dull, consequently the most of our entry was . passed at auction. The cattle market is still holding good, and we Reared our entry. We quote as follows: Backward condition full-mouth ewes, 4s 6d to 7s 4d, cull lambs (very small). 2s Id to 2s lOd, lambs (shorn) 5s 4d, 5s lOd to 6s. Cattle.-r— Empty cows, £3 7s 6d, £3 10s to £3 lis; speyed cows, to £4 2s 6d; heifers in calf, £3 2s 6d, £3 6s to £3 10s; weaners (fair condition) to 26s 6d. Our next sale will be held nest Tuesday, at the Road yards, when we will offer a good yarding of cattle and sheep. MASTERTON STOCK SALE. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report at ' their sale at the Waipoua yards yesterday Sheep came forward in excess of advertised numbers, the yards being filled 'to their utmost capacity. The yarding, taken as a whole, was fairly good, only a, few lots of culled sorts in both ewes and lambs offering. This class had a bad reception, and the results were rather disappointing to vendors. All better sorts i ; both ewes and lambs found a ready sale at sound' prices. Generally speaking, business under the hammer was dull, most lines being dealt with privately afterwards, and at the close of the day a very, small proportion were unsold

Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having held their usual fortnightly sale at their Waipoua yards, Masterton, on Wednesday, 25th January, when they ""offered a good yarding, well above advertised numbers, in both cattle and sheep, which we are pleased to report met with a ready sale, and competition was keen throughout, vendors realising that the dry weather experienced lately was detrimental to good prices, and were prepared to accept the offers at auction, therefore practically the whole yarding was cleared. Amongst our entry, which was of all classes of sheep, there was one line of 2-tooth ewes on account of Messrs' Barton Bros., which realised 12s 4d. Other quotations are as follows : Two and 4-tooth wethers to -13s 4d; full-mouth ewes, ,8s to 9s 4d;; 5-tooth 1 ewes,; lis 2d to 12s 4d; 4tootli ewes (small) lis; shorn lambs, 7s 3d, 7s 6d, to 8s 3d; woolly lambs (small) 4s to 4s 7d; woolly lambs (fair rape sorts) 7s 6d, 7s xOd, 8s 3d to 9s. Cattle.— Heifer calves, 3Gs to 38s; steer calves, 355: heifers in calf, £3 10s; empty heifers £3 10s; fat cows, £5 to £5 10s; yearling steers, £2 15s 6d; 18-month steers, £3-9s; empty heifers, £3 7s 6d.

WOOL AND SKIN SALE. ( -ac Wairarapa Farmers'" Co-oper- j ative Association, Ltd., report as I follows: We held our first sale of ' the New Year yesterday, when we offered 50 bales and dumps of wool, 150 bags, 1200 sheepskins, 100 hides, and 200 calfskins. The attendance of buyers was good, and competition fairly spirited. Prices naturally were expected to be on a lower level for all - wool v and. sheepskins, and this was found to be the case, values being on the average a halfpenny lower than, those prices ruling, at our last fjale... v We quote, Wool: Fleece, 6£d, 7sd ' jfleece," log-staiiied, lambs' fleece, 7d; locks, 2Jd ? Messrs Levin and Co., Ltd., report:— We held our usual monthly sale .of wool, skins, hides, tallow, etc., yesterday, when we offered 60 bales 'and 200 bags of wool, 2500 sheepskins, 250 hides, and a'qiwtity of. tallow, horsehair, and rr>Wtiv- • skins. There was a good attendance of buyers, and bidding throughout was . keen. Wool.— All lots offered sold at current rates. Odd bales of fleece realised 7d to 7fd, a.nd lambs "up to 9d. We quote:— Crossbred, 7d to 7jd; dead wool, 6d to G-Jd; pieces, 4id to 5Jd; locks, 2jd to 3-} d; lambs' wool, 6d to 9d.
