THOMPSON-PAYNE PICTURES. There wa" s a crowded audience at the Foresters' Hall last evening,-, to, greet the change of programme. -The "star" picture was an A.B. comedydrama "The Examination Day," a story' full of pathos and • humour, and dealing with incidents in a school teacher's, life "Out West." It is a beautiful subject, and after, one has: seen it one no longer expresses any surprise at the crowded .houses it has drawn in the cities. "Willie'' is a capital drama-comedy depietjng dude's." adventures among the cowboys of the Wild West.' "Mrs Rivington's Pride" is a deightful little domestic drama, while "With Bridges Burned" is an industrial drama containing many thrilling situations. A beautifully coloured drama is "The Silent Duke." The scenics are a particularly good lofy and the comics are genuinely funny. The programme, which is of exceptional merit, will he shown again this evening.
