At Rahotu on Tuesday there was a rgiaipd'' yarding, bidding was brisk and nearly everything sold- at 'the haminer. Weaners made 28s to 30s ; weaner heifers, good, 38s 6d; 15-months niixted £2 19s; 18-months to 2-year heifers, £3 5s 6d to £4"; Jersey heifer and calf, £6 12s 6d; springing heifers, £4 18s 6d; store cows,:£3 5s to £4; forward ditto, £4 5s to £4 19s; fat cows, £5 ss; 2-year steers, £4 12s; 3-year steers, £5 ss; bulls, £4 16s to £5 6s; extra heavy bulls, £5 17s to £6 7s. On Wednesday I held a clearing sale at Waihi, Waitara on account of Mr A. K. Lash, when there was a good attendance of buyers, and considering the time of the year, good prices were realised. Dairy cows, good quality, made £6 10s to £8 15s; ordinary ditto, £5 to £6 ss; 20-months. Jersey heifers in calf, £5 14s;' bull, £3 ss; weaners, 365; mower, £6 15s; discs, £7; dray. £4 15s; ditto, £7; gig, £25 ss, harness, £4 ss; sundries sold as usual. At Waiwakaiho on Thursday weaners made 27s to 28s ; 15-months steers, £2 10s 6d; 15 to 18-months heifers, £2 10s to £3 3s 6d ; 2-year heifers, R.W.8., £4 8s; store cows, £3 15s to £4; forward cows, £4 7s 6d to £4 17s 6d; fat cows, £5 17s; springing heifers, £5 5s to £7 l()s; springing cows, £5 to £6; bulls, £4 13s to £6 2s 6d; pair bullocks, £l2; ewe hoggets, 13s lOd; wether ditto, 10s lOd; 2-tooth wethers, 13s 6d; old ewes, 3s 7d; fat ewes, 'los 7d< It makbs one anxious—any loss of weight.
