PARK BEAUTIFYING FUND.

Sir,—-My attention has been called to the remarks made by Mr Ghennells at a meeting of the Chamber of Commerce upon an application submitted by my Committee for a contribution to the Prize Fund. I think it is due to my Committee that it should be known that the application was put forward at the direct request of a member of the Chamber. Yours, etc., F.
