WAINGAWA MEAT WORKS.
ANOTHER CONSIGNMENT DESPATCHED. BUSY TIME IN STORE. The second, consignment of meat, consisting of 4800 carcases, was despatched from the Waingawa freezing works in the early hours of Saturday morning, and was all safely stowed away in the ship at Wellington, by midday. To get the work on hand done by the end of the. week, the whole of the staff were employed on overtime on Saturddy; after Avorking full time during the week. ; The coming fortnight promises to be an extra busy one at the works, as already 20,000 sheep and over" 400 head of cattle have been booked for slaughtering for that period.
