OIL-BEARING COUNTRY.
The Wairarapa Mineral .Prospecting Company has been on its last legs for some months past. It has now , .jjuu of shaking itself.vto-' gether, and of justifying its existence. Mr J. D. Henry, the London oil expert, has arrived in the Dominion to report upon the oil-bearing; properties in Taranaki. and Poverty Bay. Cannot his services be procured for a report on the petroleum areas to the east of Masterton P The cost should not be very great, whilst the value to the district of such a report may be enormous. Even the Chamiber of Commerce might be induced to take a hand in such a matter;. The reports presented j at, the' last session of Parliament are sufficiently encpyragiiig to warrant "further and complete investigation.' ; :
