Mr H. C. Rotten deserves the thanks of the ccmmuiiity for having excited a little interest in Trust Lands Trust matters. The affairs of this body have been administered by men, for the good of the people. Mistakes have been made from time to time; but they have .not been of a very serious character.'.VWj&tfE.'is.wanted finite present dispensing the" revenue : n dribs and drabs is"-unsatisfactory. Some permanent scheme should, be devised which would produce definite and lasting results. Mr Robinson hinted at" a scheme, but he failed to adduce evidence of its practicability. If the townspeople will devote a little more time and attention to this endowment, they will discover methods by which its value to the eistrict will be enormously increased.
