A Berlin cable, received last night, states that there is great jubilation over the fortieth anniversary of the proclamation of the German Empire. A letter from "Churchill," suggesting the utilization of certain oratorical power in Masterton for the deviation of the Rimutaka, etc., is crowded out. A well-attended monthly united service was, held. in Knox Church, Masterton, last night, and was conducted" by the Rev. A. T. Thompson.
