THOMPSON-PAYWE PICTURES. , The change of programme at theHall last evening drew a crowded house. The series of pictures is an excellent one, with plenty of variety to suit all tastes. The dramatic studies- are of exceptional merit. The "Forest Rangers" is a story dealing with a gang cf. tinvber thieves in the Wild West of the United States. The picture contains a very thrilling scene in the camp of the. desperadoes, while cowboystake a prominent part in several exciting situations in the drama. Lovers of' military, dramas will, find in j 'The Plans of the Fortress" a powerful study which they will appreciate. In a fit of jealousy an officer sells the plans of a fort to a foreigner, but a detective secures them before the buyer is able to make use of them, and thus clears the hero from suspicion. An historical sketch "Geneyive of Scotland," is well' staged and capably acted. Some striking scenics vfee shown, and gave the audience views of famous cities of ancient thnes. In Syria, a panorama of Damascus is shown, as well as the ruins of Heliopolis, and the. Temples of Bacchus and Jupiter. In Tunis and Carthage, old Roman ruins, battlements and aqueducts are .presented on the screen, while the film of views of "Manxland" gave one an. excellent idea of the scenery in the beautiful Isle of Man.
