AMD THE CINCER-ffEER. W-, • • • In the course of a - discussion, at the meeting of the Masterton A. and P. Association on: Saturday last, on the proposal to liold a picnic at' Solway on Thursday, at which twenty gallons of ginger-beer are to be provided, Mr Hugh Morrison suggested that Mr A. W. Hogg, M.P., should be invited to be present and i give an address. The suggestion was approved. "But what about Mr Buchanan?" asked a member. "He is interested in our district. 5 ' ( . It was decided that Mr Buchanan bealso. invited./. . "And why not Mr Ross ? 1 ' inquired another-. • • "If we have many more addresses, we'll have no time to drink the gin-ger-beer," interjected Mr R, Gray, amidst laughter. That settled it. No further invitations were extended.
