NORTHERN BOWLING ASSOCIATION
TOURNAMENT AT AUCKLAND, By Telegraph—Fress Association. AUCKLAND, Last Night. The Northern Bowling Association's annual tourney was continued to-day, in perfect weather. The section play in the pairs match was completed by noon,, and this afternoon most of the visiting' bowlers and lady friends were tendered "a harbour, excursion by the President (Mr }Vini- Elliott). This evening the bowlers are being entertained at a theatre party. A number of ties resulted in the section play of the pairs match, These were decided in all hut two instances. • The pairs sections were won by the following:— . . A Section.— Saxton (Mount Eden) 8., Wiggins, .(Te Hiwi), C., Blinkhorne (Masterton), D. Hall (Hastings), E, Watlixns (Epsom), F, Prince. (Newtown), G. Smith (Hastings), H., Austin (Carlton), J., Cress well, (Masterton), K. Munro (Thomdon), L. Keith (Victoria), M. Greig (Gisboime), N. Wakerley (Kocky Nook), 0. Porteous (Te Hiwi), P. Mcintosh (Onehunga), E. Lockliead (Feildihg), S. Bell (Grey Lynn), T. Gillies (Mt. Eden), Tj. Martin (Tirranga;.uj), V. Pascoe (Grey Lynn), W. Carmaii (ETtham), X. Baildon (Grey Lynn, Y. Wylie (Newtown), and Taylor (Auckland) I'iave to play off. The full rink ties were also decided, the section winners now being as follows Section, Mcintosh (Ohehunga); 8., P'arat-a (Tliorndon), C., Hueston (Victoria); D., Ballinger (Wellington); E., Paterson (Kemuera).; F., Dingle, (Auckland ; G., Eagleton (Epsom) ; H., Veale, (Pohsonby); J., Norwood (Victoria) has to meet Martin (Rocky Nook); K., Parsons (Pbnsonby); L., Wylie (Newton); M., Dingwall : (Remuera). The semi-finals will he played' to-mor-row.
