A SUCCESSFUL GATHERING. (By Our . Special Reporter.) , "Ideal wtjatmji' iavuui cu the Langdale Sports Club's annual meeting yesterday. There was a large number of visitors from the surrounding 1 J districts, and a good day's outing was enjoyed by all. The arrangements were in perfect order, which added greatly to the success of the gathering. Large entries v,ere received; in all the events, many "of which were keenly contested. The 1 judges' decisions met with l the; approval o£ concerned,, and the competitions were got'off-well t« time. ] The Club is to be congratulated'on' the succesß!"attained.' The work of the secretary (Mr J. P. Lett), and assistant secretary (Mr" Hebentori), is worthy of the highest praise. The gold medal for most points in the I foot events was won by F. Kilminster, of Masterton; Mr R. Morrison won the gold medal for most points in the horse events. Great interest was centred in the hunters' competition for the twenty guiiiea rose bowl and silver cup, which was. won by Mr R. Morrison's "Grey ,Dawn."
