Some years back, the Government of this, "noxious" qountry offefjed; a reward for the discovery of an efficacious destroyer of noxious- weeds-. Experiments on a large' scale were made at Oamaru, and, % in other parts of thel'^ominion 1 ; but* ;? the Government refused to accent either of the exterminators as "efficacious." If the advertisements appearing in the Press of the Dominion go few any-, thing, there should be not a; few effective weed-destroyers now on the market.
