MASTERTON STOCK SALE. The New Zealand Loan ;• :icl Asp. - - cantile Agency Co., Ltd., report ns follows regarding their fortnightl,' stock sale at the Masterton yards yesterday :—Entries in sheep were 'short of advertised numbers, owing to two lots having being sold privately before reaching the yards. The offering comprised fat and store ewes, rape and store lambs, and store wethers, the whole catalogue being disposed of at good values. In cattle we had a good representative yarding, aiid the quality all through was fairly good, which enabled us to make a clearance at good sound rates. Fat ewes made 12s 6d; small wethers, lis; poor store ewes, 7s 9d ; rape lambs, 10s. Id ; shorn lambs, 8s ; good 2s-year steers, 90s; fat and forward cows, £4 to £4 10s; store cows, 60s to 70s; yearling heifers 525; calves, 18s to 255; dairy heifers, in calf, 655; bull, £4 10s; weaner pigs, small, Is; slips, 12s to 15s. , PAHIATUA STOCK SALE. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report as follows: —-We held' the first sale of the year in the Farmers' Association's yards, when a heavy yarding of both sheep and. cattle came forward, all classes being represented. We did not experience a good demand for most of the sheep, although good rape lambs were keenly competed for. Cattle cold well up to late rates. Quotations: —4 and 6tooth wethers 13s 3s; 2-tooth wethers 10s 9d to 12s 9d; sound mouth ewes, 9s 3d to 9s 9d; good woolly rape lambs, 10s to 10s 9d; shorn store lambs 6s 6d to 75.; 2£-year steers, £4 to £4 lis 6d; 18-month steers, £3, 6s to £3 13s; weaners, 22s 6d to 32s 6d; heirers in calf,. £3 to £3 13s 6d; dairy cows, to £5 7s; 6d; empty cows, £4 to £4 ss; cows and calves, £4 6s to £4 15s; bulls, £3 10s to £5 10s.

JOHNSONVILLE STOCK SALE. (By Telegraph—Special to the Age,) JOHNSONVILLE, Last Night.' Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd. report on their Johnsonville sale as follows: —AVe offered a good yarding jof bullocks, and a medium one of sheep, and both sold readily at late rates. Best bullocks, £0 to £9 los; lighter, £8 10s to £8 17s 6d; light, £7 15s to £8 2s 6d; vealers, 345; prime wethers, 16s 3d; plain 14s 6d to 15s; prime heavy ewes, 14s 7d to 15s; plain, 13s 6d to 13s 9d; medium lambs, 12s; plain, lis 3d to lis 4d.

Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having held their usual fortnightly sale at their Masterton yards yesterday, when entries came forward well above advertised numbers. There was a good attendance of buyers, and all stock offered met with ready competition. Our entry included a first-class line of 4 and 6tpoth wethers, which, although 1.35. 7d was. bid for them, were passed in. In cattle we yarded some very good bullocks, which met with good competition, those on account of Messrs Barton Bros., realising the following prices:—Four-year bullocks, £6 18V; 3yr bullocks, £6 4s; speyed heifers, £4" 3s 6d; empty heifers, £2 18s to £3 Bs. In sheep we quote as follows : Two-tooth ewes (very small) 9s lOd; 2-tOoth wethers, lis to 12s ; 4 and 6-tooth wethers up to 13s 7d (unsold). Cattle.—' Four-year bullocks, £6 18s to £6 18s 6d; 3yr bullocks, £5 12s 6d, £5 17s 6d to £6 4s; 2yr steers, £5 12s 6d;. 18-month steers, £3 12s 6d to £3 16s; speyed heifers, £4 3s 6d; empty heifers, £2 18s to £3 8s; cows and calves, £4 to £4 16s; springing cows, £5 to £5 10s; calves, 325. Horses were dull of sale. Hacks made fronr £4 £8 ; draught , aged gelding, £ls.
