' During the Police Court hearing of the case against Albert Cash for the murder of his wife at Helensville, ■ Mr Fosbrooke, Coroner, said the dayafter the tragedy Cash told him that on December 22nd' he heard Alfred Wood, railway guard, come out of his wife's room. After , that Be neither ate nor slept, and on Christmas afternoon he searched his wife's box ' for liquor, whicii he feared she had taken to. He then found a letter' from Woods, dated from an Auckland hotel, lii which he said: "I am staying in the room we stayed in." He charged bis wife with this on her return. She said: "Well, if'you don't like it, you can go." Then he became mad, and, remembering that he had sfrazor in his pocket, he killed her. Bail was refused.
