• GOXE TO THE SOOTH. ' By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON, Last Night. Sir Joseph Ward left Wellington this evening in company with His Excellency tTie Governor, for Invercargill. His Excellency on Friday will go across to Stewart Island, returning to Invercargill for the night. On Saturday morning he Anil motor to Win ton, and in the afternoon he. will turn the first sod of the Invercargill tramway. Lord Islington .will spenH Sunday in Invercargill, will visit Mataura next day, and will go on to Dunedin in the evening. A visit will be paid to Mt. Cook before His Excellency returns to Wellington a little less than a fortnight hence.
